HANOI, Jan 10, 2002 (Itar-Tass via COMTEX) -- A new oil terminal which is part of an oil refinery that is being built by the joint Russian- Vietnamese company Vietross became operational in the Dung Quat Bay in Central Vietnam's Quang Ngai province on Thursday. The newly commissioned wharf is the first part of the deep- water port which is to be built along with the refinery in Dung Quat. The value of the refinery infrastructural project is estimated at 200 million dollars. The refinery, NPZ-1, is to become fully operational in October 2004, Vietross specialists said. After it begins to work to full design capacity the refinery will supply 70 percent of Vietnam's needs for top-quality petroleum products, such as petrol, kerosene, diesel and aviation fuel and other petrochemical products needed by the Vietnamese national economy.
