SENIOR PARTY OFFICIAL WELCOMES EL SALVADOR'S FMLN PARTY DELEGATION

   Ha Noi, April 12 (VNA) -- Phan Dien, Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, received a visiting delegation of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) Party led by its Deputy General Secretary Norma Guevawa in Ha Noi on Apr. 12.
   She expressed thanks to the CPV and the Vietnamese people for their support and precious assistance to the FMLN and El Salvador people.
   The FMLN senior official also expressed the wish for further strengthening of relations between the FMLN and the Communist Party of Viet Nam and people of the two countries.
   Earlier, the FMLN delegation held talks with a delegation of the CPV led by Nguyen Phu Trong, Politburo member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee.
   The two sides discussed how to further boost the friendly and cooperative ties between the two parties and people and exchanged views on international issues of mutual concern.
   The delegation was received by Nguyen Minh Triet, Politburo member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
   They held working sessions with a number of senior Party officials.--VNA
