DEVELOPS WATER SUPPLY SERVICE
Ha Noi, Aug. 26 (VNA) -- Viet Nam will develop its
water supply service into a strong industry in Southeast Asia by
2010, Deputy Minister of construction Nguyen Van Lien affirmed.
He was speaking at a recent ceremony for the Viet
Nam Water and Environment Company to receive an ISO 9001
certificate from France's AFAQ ASCERT INTERNATIONAL.
According to Lien, a water supply industry should
be established in Viet Nam by 2010, capable of using the latest
water treatment technology, managing underground water resources
in the country as well as expanding its operations to other
countries in the region and the world.
From this year, the Water and Environment Company
has been assigned by the Construction Ministry to make a
masterplan for development of the urban water supply system in
Viet Nam.--Enditem
