Moscow, April 12 -
President Vladimir Putin called as correct and timely
creation of the Russia-Belarus union state.
He made this statement, opening the meeting of the
supreme state council of the union state in a broader
format. The president noted that the main task now is to
create single economic space.
Putin expressed hope that the Friday meeting would help
to make further moves in this direction. The Russian
leader pointed to the importance of concerting
legislations of the two countries.
The Russian chief executive admitted that not all plans
fit into periods, agreed upon earlier. However, he
emphasized that adopted decisions are "thought-out,
substantiated and take into account the interests of the
two countries". "We should not stop at
achieved targets or, the more so, should not roll
back," the president stressed.
In turn, his Belarussian counterpart Alexander
Lukashenko said that the two heads of state, speaking
tete-a-tete, thrashed out all pressing problems. |
