Vietnam to Build First Atomic Power Plant in Central Province

   HANOI, April 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Vietnam's first atomic power plant
is to be built in the central province of Phu Yen in 15 years at
an estimated cost of 3 billion U.S. dollars, according to a report
of Vietnam's official news agency VNA on Saturday.
   A survey for construction of an atomic power plant conducted by
the country will be completed soon.
   The International Atomic Energy Agency, and Japanese
governments, the Republic of Korea and Germany have all expressed
their willingness to provide Vietnam both with manpower and
capital and help in the planning process for the construction.
