VIET NAM PROMOTES AVIATION
COOPERATION WITH CAMBODIA, LAOS, AND MYANMAR
Rangoon, March 8 (VNA) -- The General Directors of the Civil
Aviation Administrations of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam (CLMV) have
discussed how to boost aviation transport cooperation in the sub-region and
among ASEAN member countries.
The discussion took place at the fifth Sub-Regional Meeting on
Airline Cooperation held recently in Myanmar.
The four countries of the CLMV work closely with each other to
implement CLMV agreements and devise long term action plans. Currently, Myanmar
is serving as representative of the CLMV at international aviation forums.
Viet Nam will take over from Myanmar as CMLV coordinator in the
2002-03 period, during which it will organise the sixth meeting of the CLMV
Civil Aviation Administration General Directors in central coastal Da Nang city
in May of 2003.--VNA
