Plans for Can Gio eco-tourist project approved

Plans for a project to develop the Can Gio eco-tourist site, which is developed by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department and the city Economic Institute, were approved at meeting on July 8 under the chairmanship of Huynh Thi Nhan, vice chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

Accordingly, Can Gio will be built up into a tourist site with a rich fauna and flora, protecting the ecological environment. The project includes building Can Gio garden on a total area of 2,200 hectares, Vam Sat tourist site (1,800 hectare) in Ly Nhon commune, a memorial area of the Sac forest naval sappers on an area of 250 hectares, an April 30 beach in Long Hoa commune, a centre for children’s picnics and some other tourist attractions
